                  <span style="font-size: 20px; color: rgb(100, 100, 100);">简称难陀，“阿难陀”的意思就是非常地“喜庆”“欢喜”。阿难陀是甘露饭王之子，他是提婆达多的弟弟。阿难陀是佛陀的堂弟。阿难陀从小他就抱着出家的愿力，曾经他拜十力迦叶（为师）。佛陀55岁时，他皈依佛陀。</span>

                  <span style="font-size: 20px; color: rgb(100, 100, 100);">佛陀涅槃之后，迦叶尊者为了保存佛法，找了499名已证得阿罗汉的佛弟子结集佛法。阿难因未证得圣果被拒绝在外。阿难非但没有生气，他为此生大惭愧，每天晚上勇猛精进，终于在一夜之间证得了阿罗汉，加入了结集佛法的队伍。在大会上，阿难把佛陀的经文诵出来了——《四阿含经》《譬喻经》《法句经》全部佛经。他对佛陀一生言教的结集和后世传播做出了不可磨灭的功绩，所以大家都非常尊敬他。</span>

                  <span style="font-size: 20px; color: rgb(100, 100, 100);">阿难在佛弟子中才华出众，佛学渊博，而且他的人品也是高洁不凡。当时他被推选为佛陀身边的侍者的时候，为了避免嫌疑，他说，佛陀的新旧衣服他不穿，受到佛陀的称赞。</span>

                  <span style="font-size: 20px; color: rgb(100, 100, 100);">阿难的品质非常好，非常温顺，待人谦和诚恳。在佛弟子中他的人缘最好，尤其是女众更喜欢与他接近。他曾请示佛陀恩准其姨母波提夫人出家。在佛教僧团中，比丘尼的产生与阿难在佛前奔走呼吁是分不开的。&nbsp;</span>

                  <span style="font-size: 20px; color: rgb(100, 100, 100);">王舍城结集后，阿难四处弘法。20年后，他接替大迦叶，成为僧团的领袖。这时阿难66岁。他活了120岁，他目睹人世间的我执深重，不依佛法办事。这时，佛的大弟子相继离世，他就决意要涅槃。相传他在即将入灭的时候，位于印度恒河两岸的摩揭陀与毗舍离两个国家知道阿难要走了，要争阿难的舍利，他们就打仗了。为了平息这一触即发的战争，阿难利用神通力量在恒河上空入灭，将自己的身体化作两半，一半给摩揭陀，还有一半给毗舍离国，让两个国家供养他，一场战争就平息了。阿难临涅槃时还为众生着想，就是佛教慈悲精神的体现。</span>
