会稽一战，越国打了败仗。越王勾践，这个皇上叫勾践。勾践万般无奈，只好派人向吴王去求和，表示愿意我和夫人一起，到吴国给你吴王来当奴仆，就是不要再去糟蹋他
的百姓了。
吴王的谋臣纷纷要求灭掉越国，把他灭掉，免除后患。得胜的吴王非常骄傲，“连你们国家的皇帝都来给我做臣民了，我就不听大家建议”答应了勾践的请求。
“让他过来，夫妻两个来做我的奴仆”。因为勾践他怕打进城里残害生灵，把他们越国的老百姓都杀光杀死，会杀死很多人，他提早投降。
勾践夫妇来到吴国之后，"他们穿上了粗布衣(因为过去皇宫都是绸缎)，他就穿上粗布的衣，住进了石头房(石头堆起来的房间)给吴王养马驾车。还有舂米推磨，
夫妻两个皇帝跟皇后受尽了屈辱，他们在吴国整整干了三年。一年365天，三年了，人家能够忍辱。
结果，吴王看他们两个人没什么用，把他们放了。回国之后，越王勾践时刻不忘报仇雪恨。他怎么会让自己不忘的呢 ?
他白天亲自下田耕种，晚上睡在柴草上，这就为了让自己记住我这些苦。他还在自己的屋子里挂了一只苦胆，苦胆苦得不得了。每顿饭前，他总要尝一尝苦胆的味道，他就先吃一点点，舔一舔。
提醒自己时刻不要忘记兵败会稽的耻辱。经过20年的努力 (因为当时越国被攻占之后，就变成吴国的一个附属国，所以当时回去还是属于这个国）
他慢慢地经过二十年的努力，他转弱为强，结果他出奇兵，灭掉了吴国。
这个故事就是告诉你们，忍辱的人能成功。一个人要学会忍辱，我教你们忍辱，不是教你们以后去报复人家，请你们每个人都听清楚了。现在明白了吗?</span>
